RATS IN YOUR ATTIC? YOU NEED FULL HOME EXCLUSION SERVICES IN DALLAS, TEXAS

The Rodent Control Experts ™

WHAT IS FULL HOME EXCLUSION? HOW DOES IT KEEP RATS OUT OF MY ATTIC?

Full home exclusion work is an industry term used by rodent control companies to describe the work required for sealing off all current, and potential future, entry points around your home that rats, squirrels and other nuisance wildlife use to gain access into your attic and/or crawlspace. Structurally, there are only so many places on your home that rats can compromise in order to gain access into your attic and/or crawlspace. Properly sealing off all of these areas is the only way to resolve and prevent future rodent infestations in your attic and/or crawlspace. In theory, it’s a relatively simple concept to understand. However, in practice, properly sealing off each and every area around your home that is susceptible to rodent intrusion is truly an art form. If the exclusion work isn’t done properly, or the wrong materials are used, then your home is still completely susceptible to rodent infestations. No matter how much exclusion work has been done on your home, if it isn’t done perfectly, then you will have rats in your attic again at some point. It’s not a matter of if, its when.

Our teams of Home Exclusion Specialists are expertly trained in sealing off all areas around your home that are susceptible to rodent intrusion. All of our Home Exclusion Specialists have extensive knowledge of construction, roofing and rodent behavior. This knowledge, combined with our dedication to only using the highest quality galvanized steel products on our clients’ homes is a large part of what sets Omega Animal Removal apart from all other rodent control companies. We take pride in the quality of our work and will always treat your home as if it is our own. You will never see our Home Exclusion Specialists using spray foam or other inferior products that rats can easily chew through to regain access into your attic and/or crawlspace. Not only do we want to be certain our exclusion work is functional, we want it to look great as well. That’s why our Home Exclusion Specialists will always paint any visible work to exactly match the exterior color of your home.

When it comes to exclusion work, we never cut corners and always err on the side of being overly thorough. It’s at the core of what our entire company is about. Since we offer the industry’s only full home lifetime warranty, we make sure that your entire home is perfectly excluded. Like we said earlier, if the exclusion isn’t done perfectly, it’s a matter of when the rats will come back… not if. When you’re crazy enough to offer a lifetime warranty protecting the entire home from any future rodent infestations, you have to be willing to put your money where your mouth is. It would be bad for business, and our reputation, if we continually had to return and re-service each home.

RODENT EXCLUSION SERVICES IN DALLAS – THE SPECIES OF RATS THAT ARE FOUND IN HOMES THROUGHOUT DALLAS AND THE METROPLEX

In Dallas and the surrounding suburbs, most homes have very similar areas that are susceptible to rodent intrusion. In Dallas, Roof Rats and Norwegian Rats are the most common species of rats that need to be excluded from homes. Roof Rats are more arboreal in nature and are usually found in the attic of homes all across Dallas. Roof Rats have a very fitting name since they typically find their way into the attic from entry points on the roof of the home. Typically, roof rats compromise attic ventilation and/or chew through, or slide under, areas on the roof called roof returns. Roof returns, sometimes called eave areas, are areas where two levels of roof meet together. These areas are susceptible to roof rat intrusion due to the fact that roof rats can easily chew through roof returns in order to gain access straight into your attic. Roof returns are the most common area on homes used by rats to gain access into your attic and roof returns exist on nearly every home in Dallas.

Norwegian Rats, also referred to as Norway Rats, are more terrestrial in nature and are usually found in crawlspaces throughout homes in Dallas. Norway rats will usually find their way into a crawlspace by compromising ground vents, exterior pipes running into the foundation, garage door gaps or by digging underneath the foundation of the home. Norway rats have large claws and bigger, thicker bodies than roof rats allowing them to burrow into very dense undergrowth or soil. They don’t always dig against the foundation to burrow into the crawlspace, but when they do, it requires an extensive amount of exclusion work to permanently prevent them from accessing the crawlspace again.

Often times, our Rodent Control Specialists will find evidence of both species of rats throughout homes in Dallas. In these cases, the necessary exclusion work can be extensive since rats will be coming at your home from every angle. The good news is that our crews of Home Exclusion Specialists are absolutely able to handle it. We guarantee it!
